ABOUT THE PROJECT

Made for the way we play.

Khasino is a digital take on the South African 40-card Casino/Khasino tradition — designed around strategic builds, visible captured-pile cards and the choices players make around a real table.

Why Khasino exists

Great card games are learned by watching, asking questions and playing round after round. Khasino brings that experience into a browser so new players can learn the fundamentals while experienced players can compete without on-screen hints.

The rules in this project reflect a particular locally playtested variation. Families and groups may have different house rules, so we explain the rules actually used by the software rather than claiming a single universal version.

Designed for offline and local multiplayer

Practice 1v1 introduces moves with guidance. Classic 1v1 removes strategic assistance. 2v2 Partnership adds teammate coordination, while Three-Hand makes three players compete individually, using a different seven-point score.

Practice, Classic, offline Partnership and Three-Hand offer computer opponents. Pass-and-Play supports two people on one device. Three Wi-Fi modes let people use separate devices on the same trusted network when a Windows PC runs the local game host; online internet matchmaking is not part of this offline release.

Made for learning, not wagering

Khasino is a strategy card game for entertainment and practice. It contains no real-money bets, prizes or gambling account. You can play in your browser, save progress locally, explore illustrated tutorials and review match results without registering an account.

The software is developed under the Darel Tech Studio name. Development continues through real gameplay testing and feedback, with an emphasis on respecting hidden information and preserving the decision-making that makes the physical game interesting.
